How to Play Centrifuge Separation

Centrifuge Separation is a laboratory physics puzzle where you operate a centrifuge to separate particles by density. Each level gives you a tube containing colored particles of different densities (1.2 to 3.0), and a target zone at the bottom of the tube. You must set the right RPM (rotation speed) and start the centrifuge within a time limit so that enough target-density particles settle into the target zone.

The physics is real: higher RPM creates more centrifugal force, pushing denser particles to the bottom faster while lighter particles stay near the top. Each level specifies a density range (e.g., 2.4–2.6), a target zone (bottom 40–50%), and a required percentage of matching particles that must end up in that zone. Set RPM too low and nothing separates; too high and you overshoot the time.

Controls: Drag the Speed (RPM) slider to set rotation speed (range varies per level: 150–400 RPM). Press ▶️ Start to begin centrifuging, 🔄 Reset to retry, and 🔊 to mute. The timer counts down — when it hits zero, the result is checked automatically.

Tips & Strategy

• Read the target carefully: Each level shows the exact density range, zone (e.g., "bottom 50%"), and percentage required (e.g., "60% required"). Match the RPM to push the right particles down.
• Find the optimal RPM: Every level has an optimal RPM within its range. Start near the middle of the allowed range and adjust — too slow won't separate, too fast may overshoot.
• Watch the time limit: Levels give 25–45 seconds. Higher RPM separates faster but you still need enough time for particles to settle. Don't start too late.
• More particles = more challenge: Early levels have 10 particles, mid-levels 15–18, and late levels 20–25 particles across multiple densities. Later levels (21+) use two-stage separation.
• Color coding: Green (1.2), Light Green (1.5), Yellow (2.0), Orange (2.5), Red (3.0). Know which colors you need in the target zone.
