Heavy particles in bottom 75% zone
Set the speed and start centrifuging
Congratulations! You separated the particles!
Centrifuge Separation is a laboratory physics puzzle where you operate a centrifuge to separate particles by density. Each level gives you a tube containing colored particles of different densities (1.2 to 3.0), and a target zone at the bottom of the tube. You must set the right RPM (rotation speed) and start the centrifuge within a time limit so that enough target-density particles settle into the target zone.
The physics is real: higher RPM creates more centrifugal force, pushing denser particles to the bottom faster while lighter particles stay near the top. Each level specifies a density range (e.g., 2.4โ2.6), a target zone (bottom 40โ50%), and a required percentage of matching particles that must end up in that zone. Set RPM too low and nothing separates; too high and you overshoot the time.
Controls: Drag the Speed (RPM) slider to set rotation speed (range varies per level: 150โ400 RPM). Press โถ๏ธ Start to begin centrifuging, ๐ Reset to retry, and ๐ to mute. The timer counts down โ when it hits zero, the result is checked automatically.
Yes! Centrifuge Separation is completely free to play in your browser with no download or sign-up required.
Absolutely. The game is fully optimized for touch controls โ drag the RPM slider and tap the buttons on any phone or tablet.
There are 30 levels with increasing particle counts (10 to 25), density variety, and time pressure. RPM ranges escalate from 150โ200 to 300โ400.
Progress through levels is tracked in-session. Use the Next Level button after each successful separation to advance.
