Balance Scale is a classic logic puzzle where you must find the counterfeit coin among identical-looking coins using a balance scale and a limited number of weighings. The fake coin is either heavier or lighter than the rest β use deduction to pinpoint it before you run out of weighings!
How to Play Balance Scale
Select coins and place them on the left and right pans of the balance scale, then press the Weigh button.
Observe the result: Left heavier, Right heavier, or Balanced.
Use the result to narrow down which coin is fake. If the pans balance, all coins on them are genuine.
Continue weighing with your remaining suspects until you identify the counterfeit coin.
Mark the counterfeit coin and submit your answer. You have a limited number of weighings per level!
Tips & Strategy
Always try to divide suspects into three groups β put β on each pan and keep β off. This maximizes information from each weighing.
If a pan tips, the fake is on the scale. If balanced, the fake is off the scale β eliminating a third of your suspects.
Track which coins have been on which side. A coin that was on the heavier side twice is likely the heavy fake.
Use known-genuine coins as reference weights to test individual suspects.
Fewer weighings used = more stars earned. Plan ahead before each weigh!
